China's stock markets have surged in 2009 eclipsing most others.
The Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index rose 62% and the Shenzen SE Composite Index soared almost 74% over the first half of the year to 30 June 2009.
In contrast, Australia's ASX/S&P 200 Accummulation Index has risen just over 6% and the US S&P500 Index gained 1.8%.
